U.S. approved Uighur Turks


The U.S. Senate approved the draft law enforcing Chinese authorities for the pressure policies against Uyghur Turks in the Sincan Uyghur Autonomous Region.

The draft law submitted to the Senate through the initiatives of Republican Senator Marco Rubio was unanimously approved. The bill calls for sanctions on some Chinese officials responsible for pressure and violence against US President Donald Trump, Uyghur Turks and other Muslim minorities.


A REPORT ABOUT THE VIOLATION OF RIGHTS

In addition, the draft requests the US State Department to prepare a report for human rights violations in the region.
A version of the bill in question was adopted in the US Senate in November 2019. The House of Representatives made some changes and sent the bill back to the Senate in December 2019.
